Re the fire in the property at Brighton/Hove (Palmeira Avenue) which killed the following people [ages of persons are as in 1992]:
Timothy Sharpe, 28, the party host
Paul Jones, 33, a trainee chef from Brighton
Adrian Johns, 31, unemployed, from Brighton
Andrew Manners, 29, an electrical maintenance engineer from Cheltenham
Mabel Roberts, 48, a nurse from Colwyn Bay, North Wales

Timothy Sharp was celebrating his twenty-eighth birthday when the fire that killed him broke out in his flat.

The fire was on 18 April 1992, and is referenced in the Waterhouse Report in paragraph 21.40.

Another attendee at the party was Trevor Carrington, who survived the fire but was later apparently run down and killed by a truck (on 21 April 1992, on the Lindfield to Ardingly Road), hours after allegedly confessing to starting the fire!!!

The inquests of the death of all the partygoers (including Trevor Carrington) was adjoined & the reason for the deaths were that Carrington was said to have started the blaze as a prank.

    CASE CLOSED?

However, the fire investigator who examined the building, which had no fire escape, said the fire was started in three places at once!
