The Paedophile Information Exchange, the organisation which campaigns for sex with children to be made legal, has a new leader.
Peter Bremner, 41, has taken over from Tom O’Carroll, who received a two-year sentence at the Old Bailey two weeks ago for corrupting public morals.
Bremner is known as a quiet man in Ickburgh Road, Clapton, London, where he has a flat.
The landlord of his local pub said: “He is a loner and often sits here sipping a pint and reading.
“But I don’t want him back.”
Scotland Yard is to investigate how MP Geoffrey Dickens found out the name of Sir Peter Hayman, the mystery diplomat in the Old Bailey Trial.

A dossier which claims that a homosexual vice ring is operating inside Buckingham Palace has been handed to the Home Secretary, Mr Leon Brittan.
The allegations, compiled by Conservative MP Mr Geoffrey Dickens, also claim that a top-level civil servant kept his job after he was found with 57 indecent photographs of children.
Mr Dickens, MP for Littleborough and Saddleworth, said yesterday that the Home Secretary had promised to investigate the allegations against ten men who, he claims, are active paedophiles—men interested in sex with children.
Mr Dickens said there was evidence that young male staff who entered the palace as footmen, servants and cooks were being dragged into a ‘web of vice’, where wealthy old men paid for their favours and they were passed around between clients.
He drew attention to the case of a 16-year-old boy who was given a kitchen job at the palace after leaving catering college.
After two years, he was recommended for a new job, as footman to a senior British diplomat, known to be a member of the notorious Paedophile Information Exchange, the group that wants to legalise sex between children and adults.
They boy later left this post and, according to Mr Dickens, became the ‘plaything’ for millionaires in America.

There has been a scandalous cover-up in the case of Sir Peter Hayman. The powers that be, as usual, tried to protect one of their own.
No-one in authority would have raised a finger to save an ordinary man or woman from public disgrace after being found trafficking in child pornography.
Yet all along Sir Peter’s name was carefully concealed.
Neither he, nor eight others who had been corresponding about their vile “hobby” was prosecuted. In that one regard it could be claimed he was not shown favour.
But in every other respect he was given the complete V.I.P. treatment – Veiled from the Irate Public. Henderson was he name Sir Peter had used in his pornography ring. Henderson it remained throughout all the inquiries into the Paedophile Information Exchange and the court proceedings that followed.
Everyone who was investigated had to disclose his or her real name in witness statements or in giving evidence. Except for Sir Peter.
One of the witnesses in the committal proceedings spoke of nude photographs of nine and 11-year-old girls.
About one of the girls Henderson was alleged to have written: “Any dirty details about her would be much appreciated by us all.” No-one identified the man who had written that as Sir Peter Hayman.
Sir Peter is only the latest in a long list of establishment figures around whom the establishment has thrown its smokescreen.
Remember Sir Anthony Blunt; Philby, Burgess and Maclean; remember the long-hidden sexploit of our former ambassador in Moscow.
We are supposed to live in a society where, as near as humanly possible, all men and women enjoy equal protection and suffer equal penalties for their transgressions.
COVER-UPS FOR THE HIGH AND MIGHTY MAKE A MOCKERY OF JUSTICE.
Sir Michael Havers, brother of Baroness Butler-Sloss
Sir Michael Havers was appointed as Attorney General by Margaret Thatcher in 1979, and was made Baron Havers in 1987. He intervened three times between 1981 and 1983 to stop the investigation and exposure of Establishment paedophiles, and to prevent the publication of stories which showed that Establishment figures were members of the Paedophile Information Exchange.
Although none of this implicates Havers’ sister, Baroness Butler-Sloss,in any way, it seems at the very least deeply inappropriate to have someone heading a ‘historic’ child abuse inquiry whose own brother played such a major role in the protection of Establishment paedophiles throughout the 1980s.
1981: Sir Peter Hayman
In 1981, Sir Michael Havers warned Geoffrey Dickens not to name senior diplomat Sir Peter Hayman as a paedophile in the House of Commons. Dickens ignored his advice, and was publicly condemned by Havers, who said “All Mr Dickens has done is make certain that Sir Peter’s shame and embarassment is known to the world. There cannot be any justification whatsoever for what has happened. How can the public have gained by this? How can it be in the public interest to name this man?“.
Sir Michael Havers defended the decision not to prosecute Hayman despite possessing a huge collection of images of child abuse including – as Barry Dickens revealed earlier this week – babies being abused in their prams. Dickens accued Sir Michael of taking part in a “whitewash and “the cover-up of the century”.
1982: Elm Guest House
The Elm Guest House scandal involved powerful Establishment figures sexually abusing young boys at a guest house in Barnes. The story hit the headlines in August 1982 and ran for just 10 days, but then the coverage stopped suddenly and it wouldn’t be mentioned again in a British newspaper for many years. The reason for this news blackout seems to have been threats of legal action. Sir Michael Havers “personally investigated” complaints against newspapers from lawyers representing Elm Guest House.
1983: Geoffrey Prime
Geoffrey Prime was a former Cheltenham GCHQ worker who was also spying for the Russians, and ended up being jailed for 38 years. He had also been charged with sex offences against two young girls, and during the raid on his home police discovered Paedophile Information Exchange literature that would only have been available to members of the organisation. The Sun reported this, and said that Sir Michael Havers had held back from mentioning Prime’s PIE membership during his trial “to avoid embarassing security chiefs”. Sir Michael complained to the Press Council, but The Sun stood by their story and refused to reveal their source. Geoffrey Dickens had raised The Sun’s allegation in Parliament and forced Mrs Thatcher to make a strong denial.

In March 1981, Geoffrey Dickens used parliamentary prvilege to name senior diplomat Sir Peter Hayman as a paedophile and member of the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE). The case is summarised in a recent article from the Mail, and all the original press reports can be found here.
But there is still a mystery surrounding the trial of two paedophiles in Hayman’s network.
The sequence of events that led to Hayman being named began in 1978 when a packet was found in a London bus containing correspondence – “obscene literature and written material” – between Hayman and a number of other people. As a result of this find, seven men and two women were named by the Metroplitan Police as possible defendants in a report submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions, but he advised against prosecuting any of them.
“Subsequently, the Metropolitan Police submitted a further report which revealed that one of the nine, not Sir Peter Hayman, was carrying on a correspondence with a tenth person. The police investigation showed that the two shared an obsession about the systematic killing by sexual torture of young people and children. In view of the extreme nature of the material they had sent each other, the Director of Public Prosecutions decided to prosecute them for conspiring to convene Section 11 of the Post Office Act”. The trial of the two people took place at St Albans Crown Court in 1979-80. They were both found guilty but walked free with a conditional discharge. The weak sentence in itself is very worrying, but even more worrying is the fact that the trial doesn’t seem to have been reported at the time despite the shocking nature of the case. I have searched the Guardian and the Times archives, along with most tabloids from the time and can’t find any reports. The two reports from 1981 that referred to the trial didn’t name the individuals and didn’t even say whether they were male or female.
Many PIE members were thought to have worked in education, residential care, and other professions that would bring them into contact with children. These people could have walked free and straight into a job working with children, with the public none the wiser as to their conviction.
The Times voiced their concern about the case after Hayman was named in Parliament:
“The wider question for disquiet is what happened to the two individuals mentioned in Sir Michael’s statement who shared an obsession about the systematic killing by sexual torture of young people and children. They were prosecuted at St Albans – and conditionally discharged. Such execution of the law singularly fails to match the sense of public outrage.” Source: The Times 20.03.81
Geoffrey Dickens was still talking about it in August 1983, when he said that “the Attorney General had conceded that within the PIE organisation there were people obsessed by the death of children by sexual torture”. Source The Sun 23.03.83
Who were the two individuals, and why were they never named in the press?
Pat Nugent: ‘Charity Boss Quizzed Over Porno Swoop’
News of the World, 18th December 1983: “A top charity official has been quizzed by police after dozens of porn pictures were found during a dawn raid on her home. Besides the pictures, detectives also seized piles of documents plus address books, diaries, masks and sex magazines. The raid was on the home of Mrs Pat Nugent, 46, a mother of five who works for MENCAP, the Royal Society for Mentally Handicapped Children.”
“Our investigation shows she has also taken part in a kinky sex-swap session in central London involving a high ranking British diplomat formerly based in Berlin and Belgrade, Yugoslavia”
Could this ‘high-ranking diplomat’ have been Sir Peter Hayman, who was based in both Berlin (1966-68) and Belgrade (1955-58)? If so, ‘wife-swapping’ may not have been all that was going on at these parties, as Sir Peter Hayman is known to have been a member of the Paedophile Information Exchange. (More on Hayman here)
“Charity boss Mrs Nugent is no stranger to controversy. In 1968 she was convicted at Winchester Assizes of aiding and abetting the rape of a young girl and sentenced to three years in jail. Her lover, who committed the act while Mrs Nugent held the girl down, was sent to prison for 10 years.”
